Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle conversion coefficient determination method for a tilt control means by which the accurate tilt conversion coefficient of the tilt control means of an objective lens to be attached to an optical disk apparatus can be set individually.
SOLUTION: The optical disk apparatus 10 is connected to an external control apparatus 60 having a storage part, after a control means generates a FOD signal based on reflected light measured by an optical pickup in respective tilt angles corresponding to tilt angle control values, the external control apparatus 60 performs a process in which a formula indicating correlation between a tilt angle control value of the objective lens and difference between the maximum value and the minimum value is made, and a process in which the angle conversion coefficient corresponding to the tilt control value-FDO correlation formula correlation formula is calculated based on reference data corresponding the tilt control value-FDO correlation formula previously stored in the storage part to the angle conversion coefficient indicating correlation of variation quantity of the tilt angle control value and a tilt angle.
