Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-cancer agent which is inexpensive because of no use of expensive noble metal, and has mechanisms of action different from conventional platinum formulations.SOLUTION: An anti-cancer agent contains as an active ingredient a metal complex represented by the general formula (1) in the figure. (In the formula, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, a C-Calkoxy group or an alkyl group or the like; Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, a C-Calkoxy group or the like; Rto Rrepresent hydrogen atoms or the like; M represents iron, manganese or cobalt; X represents a counter ion; and n represents 1 or 2.)
