To provide an anti-fogging coating capable of forming a transparent anti-fogging coating film free from occurrence of organic solvent vapor in coating and drying and excellent in coating property, anti-fogging property and water resistance.
This invention relates to the anti-fogging coating, the method, etc., for producing the coating. The anti-fogging coating comprises an aqueous emulsion comprising ≥50 wt.% fine particles of a copolymer of a hydrophobic monomer (1) which is a (meth)acrylic acid ester or a styrene-based monomer with a hydrophilic monomer (2) which is a (meth)acrylic acid ester in solid matter. In the coating, ≥50 wt.% of the hydrophilic monomer (2) is a monomer represented by the following general formula (1) (wherein R1 is hydrogen atom or methyl group; R2 is hydrogen atom or methyl group; n is an integer of ≥4).
