Abstract:
To provide an antifouling fabric that has antifouling properties and water repellency in dry air and has hydrophilicity in liquid water without using fluorine harmful to the environment and to provide a method for manufacturing the antifouling fabric.SOLUTION: The antifouling fabric has an environment-responsive water-soluble substance having a radical bonding group graft-polymerized on a fiber substrate, is free from fluorine in the environment-responsive water-soluble substance and has antifouling properties and water repellency in dry gas and has hydrophilicity in liquid water. The method for manufacturing an antifouling fabric comprises bringing an environment-responsive water-soluble substance having a radical bonding group into contact with a fiber substrate constituting the fabric, graft-polymerizing the environment-responsive water-soluble substance on the fiber substrate and then cleaning and drying.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
