Abstract:
To carry out antifouling treatment of a substrate with a glass layer by which antifouling effect is further enhanced and to obtain a treated product.
A substrate 1 with a glass layer 1b and an antibacterial treating agent containing an antibacterial metal are prepared and the antibacterial treating agent is brought into contact with the glass layer 1b. By this contact, ions of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal in the glass layer 1b are exchanged for ions of the antibacterial metal to subject at least the surface side of the glass layer 1b to antibacterial treatment. The surface of the glass layer 1b is then subjected to water repellent treatment.
