To provide an apparatus for capturing slugs readily reusable, removing the captured slugs by single operation without touching the slugs with a hand and simply resetting a chemical.

The apparatus for capturing the slugs is equipped with a transversely directed cylindrical container body 1 having an openable and closable lid 2 provided in at least one lateral part, a guide hole 3 provided in the lateral part of the container body 1 and an attracting cylinder 5 in the form of a transversely directed funnel having the base part connected to the guide hole 3 and further provided with a slug attracting sheet 6 laid on the bottom of the container body 1. The slugs attracted with the odor emitted from the chemical contained in the slug attracting sheet 6 pass along the inner wall of the attracting cylinder 5, enter or drop at the guide hole 3 into the interior of the container body 1. The slugs gather on the slug attracting sheet 6 and die with an insecticide. The lid 2 on the lateral part is opened at a time when the slugs in a certain number of individuals gather. The container body is then tilted on a refuse bag to discharge carcasses of the slugs with the slug attracting sheet 6 from an opening on the side of the lid 2 of the container body 1.
