Abstract:
PURPOSE:To check an optical disc and a stamper by using the same optical system by receiving an electric signal outputted from the optical system, and processing the various measured results of the optical disc and the stamper. CONSTITUTION:In the state wherein an optical disc 7 is rotated with a spindle 3, an electric signal corresponding to laser light reflected from the optical disc 7 is sent into a signal processing circuit 14 with a pickup head 2 of a correcting plate 9. In the circuit 14, various processings are performed, and the number of defects the positions of the defects and the like in the optical disc 7 are measured. In the state wherein a stamper 10 is rotated with a motor 15, an electric signal corresponding to laser light reflected from the stamper 10 is sent into the circuit 14 with the head 2 to which the correcting plate 9 is attached. In the circuit 14, the number of defects, the positions of the defects and the like in the stamper 10 are measured. Thus, the optical discs 7 and the stamper 10 can be checked by using the same optical system.
