Title:
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING FLUIDITY OF ELECTRIC CONDUCTIVE MOLTEN MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000317586
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To reduce the equipment cost without damaging stirring performance.

A coil 11 for electromagnetic stirring wound around a vessel for holding molten electric conductive material is excited with three phase AC supplied from a secondary winding 532 of a three-phase transformer 53 to generate moving electromagnetic force in the vessel. The three-phase transformer 53 has a first and a second primary windings 5311 and 5312, and the first primary winding with a high frequency electric source device 51 and the second primary winding with a low frequency electric source device 52, are excited, respectively. Therefore, since the exciting current of the coil for electromagnetic stirring becomes a superimposed current with the high frequency current supplied from the high frequency electric source device and the low frequency current supplied from the low frequency electric source device, the outside ridge part and the center part of the electric conductive molten material are efficiently stirred.
