An apparatus for producing a viscous food includes a vertical groove processing part 21 in which a plurality of vertical blades 22 are arranged in the width direction, and a horizontal groove processing part 31 arranged ahead of the vertical groove processing part 21 to a viscous food discharged in a belt-like state to a transfer surface of a conveyor 51. A plurality of horizontal blades 32 are arranged in the vertical direction in the horizontal groove processing part 31. Horizontal and vertical grooves are formed on the upper part of the viscous food by formation of gaps between the lower ends of the vertical blades 21 and the lower ends of the horizontal blades 32 and the lower surface of the viscous food and connected parts by the viscous food are formed between the horizontal and vertical grooves and the lower surface of the viscous food.
