Title:
APPARATUS FOR FEEDING ARRANGED CIGARETTE GROUPS TO PACKAGING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006141395
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an apparatus for feeding arranged cigarette groups to a packaging machine, which stops the forward movement of the cigarettes, when the cigarettes are incorrectly positioned.

This apparatus for feeding the arranged cigarette groups to the packaging machine involves a hopper 4 equipped with feeders 7 which have each an exclusive entrance 8 and an exclusive exit 9 and whose one side is surrounded with an access door. Single cigarettes 3 are transferred from each feeder 7 to each assembling station 16, and gathered to form arranged cigarette groups 2. A suction region provided with the alley of a hole enabling the communication of a fluid between the hopper 4 and a vacuum duct is disposed at a place near to each entrance. A chamber for forming a portion of the vacuum duct receives a valve element alternately reciprocated between an extended action position for shutting the hole and a retreated non-action position for immovably sucking the cigarettes through the hole. The feeders 7 is thereby checked by a worker.
