Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent structure deformation of cloth while avoiding increase in tension in wound cloth by positively rotating whole width temple in the direction of cloth feeding by pitch of weft in a state where weft inserted into shed is forced by either one beater.
CONSTITUTION: In a cloth feeding apparatus of multishaft loom for woven fabric, weft inserted in shed which warp forms is forced by either one of a pair of beaters and forcing state thereof is retained till forcing motion by other beater after inserting next weft is started. While the retention, a whole-width temple 125 which was arranged at the downstream position of cloth fell through an intermittent rotation mechanism 140 for driving an output shaft 135 from a shaft 141 for turning beater cams 116a and 116b through a plate cam 143 rotating through a chain 142, intermittent feed lever 147, a ratchet pawl 151 and a ratchet wheel 152, etc., is positively rotated to cloth feeding direction by prescribed weft pitch amount. Thereby increase in winding force of cloth is avoided.
