To provide an apparatus for manufacturing agglomerates, capable of effectively utilizing a powder material derived from a raw material produced by an agglomeration machine or a drier when agglomerates are manufactured using the raw material containing an metal oxide-containing substance and a carbonaceous reducing agent, and also to provide a method for manufacturing agglomerates by effectively utilizing the powder material derived from the raw material.
An apparatus for manufacturing agglomerates includes: a mixer mixing a raw material containing an metal oxide-containing substance and a carbonaceous reducing agent; an agglomeration machine agglomerating a mixture obtained by mixing; and a drier drying the agglomerates obtained by agglomerating. The apparatus for manufacturing agglomerates is provided with: a path conveying the powder material derived from the raw material produced by the agglomeration machine to the mixer; and/or a path conveying the powder material derived from the raw material produced by the drier to the mixer.
