Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a media stacking system suitable for processing flexible substrate sheets.SOLUTION: The media stacking system includes an elevating stacker support and a controller. The controller controls the elevating stacker support according to a weight of a cut sheet stack supported by the elevating stacker support in loading positions. This apparatus and method enables a user to set a maximum allowable stack weight. When this maximum allowable weight is reached, an elevator-connected stacker tray is lowered to remove a cut sheet at the end of the next cycle.
