Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus whose usability is less likely damaged even if it is shifted into an off mode due to disconnection of a cable network.SOLUTION: A network apparatus 10 having a plurality of power supply states includes: a communication processing unit 14 for communicating with a communication destination device connected via cable; a link pulse detection circuit 13 for receiving a connection confirmation signal transmitted when it is connected with the communication destination device via cable; a control unit 12 for determining a power supply state depending on whether the link pulse detection circuit receives the connection confirmation signal; and a power supply circuit 11 for controlling power supply to the communication processing unit or control unit depending on the power supply state determined by the control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
