To provide an apparatus enabling a driving mechanism to be used in common even when bent shapes of preforms are different, and accordingly, capable of producing the bent preform at a lower cost.

The apparatus for producing the bent preform includes a braider device, a hollow tube-shaped mandrel formed so as to be bent, and the driving mechanism for carrying out the moving operation of the mandrel along the center line of the curve. The driving mechanism includes a pair of driving bodies constituted so as to be reciprocally driven along the linear guide rail arranged with the braider device sandwiched, and a guide body for shifting and guiding the mandrel along the axis of the curve of the mandrel. The guide body is fixed and supported in a state crossing a braiding plane of the braider device. The driving body and the mandrel are linked through a linking device absorbing the difference between the moving locus of the driving body and the moving locus of the mandrel.
