PURPOSE: To mechanize the work of adhesion of a facing plate with a wood frame and enhance the workability of panel production and the quality of a panel by conveying the wood frame consisting of a frame body formed into a square frame with frame members and a reinforcing core material disposed inside the frame body, applying an adhesive to the upper surface of the wood frame on the way of conveyance, and mounting a facing plate having a size large enough to cover one surface of the wood frame on the wood frame.
CONSTITUTION: A wood frame assembled on a wood frame working table 10 is put on a conveyor 16 to be sent to an adhesive coater 11 where an adhesive is applied to the entire part of the upper surface of the wood frame by a roller of the coater 11. A facing plate to be mounted on the wood frame is set to the working table of a retaining mechanism 13 for positioning the facing plate. A press platen 14, which has the facing plate attracted to its lower surface, is elevated and moved up to a position facing the upper surface of the wood frame together with the movement of an engine frame. At the position facing the wood frame, the press platen 14 is lowered to allow the facing plate to adhere to the upper surface of the wood frame, and the facing plate is pressed from its upper surface by a hydraulic cylinder. By this method, work of the adhesion of the facing plate with the wood frame is mechanized, and the workability of panel production and the quality of a panel can be enhanced.
