PURPOSE: To provide a textile-treating apparatus capable of evacuating the inside of a treatment tank by connecting a vacuuming unit to the tank and free from unlevel dyeing due to air bubbles when dyeing a textile according to the package dyeing method.

CONSTITUTION: A vacuuming unit such as a vacuum pump 15 is connected to a dyeing treatment tank 2 of this package dyeing machine to exhaust air in the tank. The vertical distance between the liquid surface 12 of the above- mentioned treatment tank and a dye liquid circulation pump 8 is made wider by pressure loss in the suction side pipe than NPSH of the circulation pump to prevent generation of cavitation. A heat exchanger 9 for heating the dye liquid is set in a space between the treatment tank and the discharge end 11 of the circulation pump to make evacuation and the dyeing temperature quick and uniform, thus affording the objective package dyeing machine free from formation of unlevel dyeing of a textile (e.g. cotton yarn or another fiber).
