Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of thickening and gelling an aqueous phase by using extremely low concentration of a surfactant, excellent in stability, feeling in use, etc., and weakly acidic by forming an adduct of an N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid mono salt with an amphipathic substance in water.
SOLUTION: This aqueous thickening and gel-like composition contains (A) an N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid mono salt (preferably the N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid mono salt having a ≥12C, more preferably ≥16C, long chin acyl group), an amphipathic substance (preferably a higher alcohol or a higher fatty acid of a ≥12C, more preferably ≥16C, or a substance containing one or more kinds of an N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid) and (C) water, and 0.5-5 pt.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. component (A). Further, it is preferable that the molar ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) be (1:1) to (1:5), and is more preferable that the above ratio be (1:2) to (1:4).
