Abstract:

To provide a suitable decomposition method as a processing concerning a simple analytical method with good repeatability for an aromatic block copolymer having a polyarylene segment, and further to provide an aromatic block copolymer having a specific polyarylene segment prepared using the analytical method.

[1] In an aromatic block copolymer which includes one segment expressed by general formula (1) and the other segments, the decomposition method is characterized by performing the selective chemical decomposition for the other segments. [2] The chemical decomposition of the decomposition method of [1] comprises a method decomposing an aromatic block copolymer using a basic compound. [3] In an analytical method, the molecular weight or the molecular weight dispersion of the macromolecule constituent of the decomposed object processed by either of the decomposition methods are analyzed. [4] The aromatic block copolymer has 7 of the molecular weight dispersion obtained by [3].
