PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method of a clutch unit capable of easily assembling the clutch unit even when the clutch unit is large-sized.SOLUTION: A clutch unit includes: an inner rotary body 5; an outer rotary body 6 coaxially disposed at a radial outer side of the inner rotary body 5; and a one-way clutch 7 having a plurality of engagement elements 73 disposed between the inner rotary body 5 and the outer rotary body 6 in a radial direction, limiting relative rotation to one side in a circumferential direction, of the outer rotary body 6 with respect to the inner rotary body 5 by being engaged with an inner peripheral face of the outer rotary body 6, and permitting relative rotation to the other side in the circumferential direction, of the outer rotary body 6, with respect to the inner rotary body 5 by releasing the engagement with the inner peripheral face 72a, of the outer rotary body 6, and is disposed between an output shaft 35 of a speed-increasing gear 3 and an input shaft 41 of a power generator 4. An assembling method of the clutch unit includes a first process for assembling an engagement member including the engagement elements 73, in the inner rotary body 5, and a second process for assembling the outer rotary body 6 to a radial outer side of the engagement elements 73 while relatively rotating the same to the other side in the circumferential direction, with respect to the inner rotary body 5, after the first process.
