PURPOSE: To facilitate assembling by fixing timbering members removably on the internal surfaces of circular segments, and by removing the timbering members belonging to the segments, from the segments, after the segments are connected to each other.
CONSTITUTION: On the internal surfaces of segments 1, circular steel timbering members 2 are removably fixed, and segments 3 with the timbering members are formed. After that, by erectors, the timbering members 2 are retained, and a plurality of the timbering-member-fitting segments 3 are carried in order to the internal surface of a tunnel. Then, projected sections 7 arranged at the end sections of the timbering members 2 of the timbering-member-fitting segments 3 carried to, are fitted on the recessed sections 8 of the other timbering members 2, and a ring-shaped timbering frame 9 is formed. Besides, after the segments 1 are connected to one another, the timbering members 2 belonging to the connected segments 1 are removed from the segments 1. As a result, the segments can be easily assembled with one another.
