PURPOSE: To automate a reaction operation by forcibly feeding the prescribed quantity of air into a sealed vessel for a reagent, replacing the reagent with the air to take it out and replenishing the reagent by siphon action.
CONSTITUTION: A device consists of a reaction part, an injection part, a liquid discharge pan and a control part. The injection part is arranged above a sealed vessel for a lot of samples and so that the liquid level may be below a liquid injection port 12a of a liquid injection pipe 12 connected to a reaction vessel 2. The sealed vessel 11 and a siphon pipe 19 are connected by a replenishing pipe 14 to always replenish a reagent A in a reagent replenishing vessel 18 to the sealed vessel 11 to fill it by siphon action. Air is forcibly fed into the sealed vessel 11 from a pump to deliver the reagent A therein to the reaction vessel 2 by tint amount. Thus, an air replacement method and siphon action are combined to quantitatively inject liquid without wetting the pump with the reagent A.
