Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit the automatic closure of a valve body when air is inhaled, by allowing an effluence-side opened-port to be closed by the automatic drop of a floating ball when liquid imbibes air, in the case when liquid flows in the normal direction. CONSTITUTION:When only liquid flows-in from a suction port bend 3 as shown by the arrow represented by the full line, a ball 5 is at the position A, flowing-up in the upper part. When suction of air is started from the suction port bend 3 in this state, the liquid level in a valve body 1 lowers and the floating ball 5 descends with the lowering of the liquid level, and when the ball reaches the near position B', said ball 5 s set at the position B according to the flow to a suction and expansion pipe system 4 from the suction port bend 3. Therefore, the inflow port to the suction and expansion pipe system 4 is closed by the floating ball 5, and the stream into the suction and expansion pipe system 4 starting from the suction port bend 3 is cut off.
