Title:
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ANTICREEP DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1019121
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent vehicle retreating phenomenon caused by deterioration of responsiveness of forward clutch oil pressure by lessening engagement shock caused by a one speed gear ratio at the time of forward clutch engagement.

This automatic transmission, which is provided with a torque converter 11, a forward clutch 12 and a band brake 71 between an engine drive input shaft 17 and a transmission output shaft 23, performs anticreep control making a forward clutch 12 slip and hill hold control making a band brake engage while a vehicle is stopped in running range mode. In this case, when it is judged on the basis of signals from an idle switch 162 and a brake switch 167 that the anticreep control has been released, the hand brake 71 is held in an engaged condition from the time of anticreep control release judgement to the time of completion of engagement of the forward clutch 12, and the band brake 71 is released after completion of engagement of the forward clutch 12.
