Title:
AUTOMATIC WORKPIECE ORDERLY FEEDING DEVICE IN LATHE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61226201
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To speed up the feed of workpiece by feeding them one after another like handing them over by swinging clockwise or anticlockwise, advancing, and retracting a fork provided with chucks at the end of each of the arms in front of a lathe chuck.

CONSTITUTION: A workpiece (a) is machined with a fork 3 positioned in the middle of a lathe. Then, a dead center 12 is separated from the workpiece (a) to reverse, stop and retract the fork 3 to the side of a supply path 10. And the workpiece (a) on the supply path 10 is taken by a first chuck 7 and the workpiece (a) on a lathe chuck 9 by a second chuck 8. In this state, the fork 3 is made to advance, reverse to the side of a delivery path 11, and retract moving the workpiece (a) in the first chuck 7 into the lathe chuck 9 and dropping the workpiece (a) in the second chuck 8 on the delivery path 11. In the next step, the fork 3 is made to advance, return to the middle of the lathe, and retract to machine the workpiece (a). The above motion is repeated improving the efficiency of machining by this device.
