Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly fix a seat and a seat belt anchor to a cross member while minimizing an increase in weight.SOLUTION: A cross member 14 with a closed section, which has upper and lower walls 14a and 14b, is arranged in an automobile width direction, and a nut 22 for fastening a seat mounting bracket or a seat belt anchor is fixed to an undersurface of the upper wall 14a. The cross member 14, which comprises a bulkhead 14e for connecting the upper and lower walls 14a and 14b together, is configured in a figure-of-eight cross-section shape. Since the nut 22 is fixed to an undersurface of the upper wall 14a on the rear side of the bulkhead 14e, strength of a fastening part of the seat mounting bracket and the seal belt anchor can be increased by reinforcing the upper wall 14a of the cross member 14 by a lightweight structure.
