Abstract:
To provide a technique for rationally controlling active mass of a robot.SOLUTION: A robot comprises: an operation control part for selecting a motion of the robot; a drive mechanism for executing the motion selected by the operation control part; and a battery residual amount monitoring part for monitoring a battery residual amount of a secondary battery. A behavior characteristic of the robot is varied according to the battery residual amount. For example, as the battery residual amount is smaller, the motion having a small processing load is selected at higher probability. Consumption plan data for defining a power consumption pace of the secondary battery may be referred, and the behavior characteristic of the robot may be varied according to a difference between the battery residual amount planned on the consumption plan data and an actual battery residual amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
