Abstract:
To provide an auxiliary power unit installable in an aircraft having a cabin, a duct connecting the cabin to the auxiliary power unit, and an airflow control mechanism in the duct.
This auxiliary power unit assembly 10 includes the auxiliary power unit installable in an aircraft 18 having a cabin 22, a duct 28 connecting the cabin 22 to the auxiliary power unit, and an airflow control mechanism in the duct. The auxiliary power unit can further include a gas turbine engine 12 having a compressor 14. The auxiliary power unit can further include a stall prevention mechanism 27. The duct 28 can further include an inlet 30 adapted for fluid communication with the cabin 22, and an outlet 32 adapted for fluid communication with the compressor 14.
