An electric motor 11 is an axial blower 8 which operates in constant rotation with a rotation frequency of one third of a rotation frequency synchronized with a power supply frequency of an alternating current in the range from an external static pressure zero to maximum static pressure when selecting a small amount of air blowing because a torque range expands, the torque range containing a large amount of tertiary harmonic components and being rotation frequency constant caused in the rotation frequency of one third of a rotation frequency synchronized with a power supply frequency of a commercial AC power source due to a concentratedly wound stator 4, even-number conductor bars 5, and a configuration in which the conductor bars 5 are arranged on positions on an interpole center line connecting the centers of inter-poles 7 facing at the inter-poles 7 of the respective permanent magnets 6. A wind amount and static pressure characteristic can be acquired, which can lower a decrease in the amount of air blowing even regardless of an increase in an external pressure loss, such as external wind pressure.
