Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress exfoliation with a boundary between a bearing surface and crush relief as an original point, in a balancer metal having a pair of half-split metals rotatably supporting a journal part of a balancer shaft.SOLUTION: In a balancer metal having a pair of half-split metals, each half-split metal has mating surfaces on both end parts in a circumferential direction, an oil relief, and a crush relief. When the diameter of a journal part is defined as D mm, and an amount of the oil relief to be the depth of the oil relief at a 66° rotation position from a center in the circumferential direction of the half-split metal is Mo mm, the following expressions are satisfied: 3.9×10≤Mo/D≤16.0×10, where Mo/D=Ka.
