Title:
BAR CODE INPUT/TABLET PEN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0844478
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it unnecessary to execute input work while properly using two pens by superposing a bar code detection signal to a tablet detecting signal.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of detecting a tablet signal by an input pen, the input pen is depressed to the surface of a tablet board as it is without depressing a side switch 5, so that a photoelectric converter is moved and a depression switch 13 in a pen internal circuit is turned on by the converter. A carrier signal from the pen internal circuit is induced by electrostatic capacity coupling between an electrode 11 and an electrode line of the tablet and the signal is calculated as a positional signal on the body side. In the case of using the pen for bar code input, the side switch 5 is depressed, so that a detection circuit is switched to a bar code reading circuit 17, LEDs in the converter are turned on to read out a bar code and the read signal is superposed to a carrier signal for tablet detection.
