Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device for a ship seat of a kind, which is fixed later to an existing ship and assembled to a small ship by using a compact and simple system, and whose manufacture and work execution are easy.
SOLUTION: The opposing surfaces of a base block 2 provided in a vessel body side and a base plate 5 provided in the lower part of an occupant seat 3 are formed to be concave and convex surfaces 1 and 4 having cylindrical shapes suited to each other. A roll isolator 7 is provided between the opposing surfaces to support the occupant seat 3 swingingly in a desired direction with respect to the base block of the vessel body side, the seat 3 is connected through a hydraulic damper 9 having a damping characteristic switching device 8 to the base block 2 of the vessel body side. Then, by controlling the switching of the damping characteristic of the hydraulic damper 9 between high and low based on an inclination signal from a inclination sensor 10 provided in the seat side 3, the inclination of the seat 3 is limited as much as possible.
