NEW MATERIAL: A henzopyrazole derivative represented by formula I [wherein A is -C=C-R6, -CH2CH2-R7(R6 and R7 are each heteroaromatic, phenyl, naphthyl or phenanthryl) or a group represented by formula II (R8-R10 are each OH, alkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyalkyl or the like and Y is Cl or N), R1 is H or alkanoyl: R2-R4 are each H or alkyl; and R5 is alkyl] and its salts.
EXAMPLE: R(-)-[2-benzo[b]thien-3-yl)ethynyl]-3,4-dihydro-2,5,7,8-tetramethyl-2H- benzo-pyran-6-ol.
USE: This new material is a 5-riboxygenase inhibitor, a lipid peroxidation inhibitor and a treatment agent of inflammation, arthrits, allergy, asthma, psoriasis or the like.
PROCESS: For example, a compd. represented by formula III and a compd. represented by the formula: R6X (X is Br, I, etc.), are reacted to obtain a compd. represented by formula I.
