Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A β-D-fructopyranoside derivative shown by the formula I (R is 4≤C alkyl).
EXAMPLE: n-Butyl-β-D-fructopyranoside.
USE: A drug having antiallergic and carcinostatic actvities. Capable of controlling selectively IgE causing an allergic disease, but not controlling an immunoglobulin, e.g., IgG and IgM of nomal immunological reaction.
PROCESS: A D-fructose shown by the fornula II is reacted with an alkyl alcohol (e.g., butanol, methylpropanol, pentanol, etc.) in the presence of a mineral acid, e.g., hydrogen chloride, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. or an organic acid, e.g., formic acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid under heating to give a compound shown by the formula I (R is n-butyl, isobutyl, n-pentyl, isopentyl or n-hexyl).
