PURPOSE: To limit the trihalomethane content in beverage and also to eliminate the smell of chlorinated lime and mold by using a filter wherein ascorbic acid and/or its salt and/or cyclodextrin are contained in a fibrous tissue.
CONSTITUTION: A filter wherein ascorbic acid and/or its salt and/or cyclodextrin are contained in a fibrous tissue is used as a material of a beverage filter and a coffee or tea bag. An acqueous solution containing 60% or more ethanol is used as a solvent of ascorbic acid and/or its salt, and a nonwoven fabric made of melt-blow fiber having a thickness of 0.1 denier or less is used as a fibrous tissue. Thereby, when beverages will be obtained by using tap water, drink having no small of chlorinated lime and a less production amount of trihalomethane can be prepared without purifying and heating tap water previously.
