Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a multi-focal camera which neither increases in the size of its photographic lens barrel nor decreases in the capacity utilization efficiency of its camera main body by moving a rotating shaft along an optical axis of photography associatively with a main lens moving means.

CONSTITUTION: A rotating shaft moving means moves the rotating shaft 22 is moved along the optical axis and this rotating shaft is so constituted that it does not rotate during the movement from the rearmost position to an intermediate position and rotates only in the movement from the intermediate position to the foremost position. A converter lens 20 is moved in parallel from the rearmost stand-by position to the intermediate position according to the extension of a main lens 10 and rotated while moved along the optical axis from the intermediate position to the foremost position, so that the lens is put on the optical axis of photography. Consequently, the converter lens 20 can be moved between the entry position on the optical axis of photography and the stand-by position in a small space, and the space of the camera main body is utilized effectively, thereby reducing the size of the lens barrel greatly.
