This bile acid derivative is a compound of the formula: W-X-G [G is formula I (R3 to R8 are each O of carbonyl by joining together, H, OL, SL, NHL or the like; L is a 1-10C alkyl, a 3-8C cycloalkyl or the like; Y is OL, NHL or the like); X is a direct bond, O, S, SO2 or the like; W is formula II (Q is formula III or the like)], e.g. a compound of formula IV. Further, the compound of the formula: W-X-G is obtained e.g. by reacting each of the suitable reactive forms of the G and W by a known method in the case that the X is a direct bond.
