Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a biodegradable rope capable of rapidly putrefying and decomposing by cutting a nonwoven fabric obtained from a natural fiber such as cotton fiber or rayon short fiber into strings and making the strings into rope.

CONSTITUTION: A nonwoven fabric produced for diapers, wet towels, etc., from a natural fiber such as cotton or linen or rayon short fiber is slit and rewound around bobbins (A). Then, the rewound fiber is transferred to a bobbin (B) for making rope and fibers taken out from two or three bobbins are finished into rope having double twist or triple twist as shown in (C) and (D) to provide the objective thickly rolled rope product (E). As necessary, thinly rolled rope products (F) are obtained from the product (E).
