Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blanking method improving productivity of an element of a belt for a infinite variable speed drive and having a good yield.
SOLUTION: Elements 1a, 1b are formed by blanking a long size metal plate 12 while oppositely arranging head of an element 1 and in two lines in its width direction. The distance between a pair of corner parts 14 of a plate material 12 and the counter load of a counter punch are set so that a difference in plate thickness between common reference points at a flat face part of the elements 1a, 1b and common comparison measuring points are averaged and its average values are in an allowable range. When the elements are punched from the plate material under this setting, the elements of one line among two lines and the elements of the other line are mixed at a ratio of roughly one to one to form a belt assembly, even when the plate material is deviated in the width direction, variation in the plate thickness of the elements on one line and variation in the plate thickness of the elements on the other line are absorbed by each other, the belt assembly having no defect is formed.
