Abstract:
To provide a blind rivet, and its removing system and related method.
It is necessary to remove a flange of a rivet by various methods to remove the blind rivet. Generally, these method are not effective for the sake of resistance given by a mandrel, and a rink of damaging an applied object, that is, a workpiece. In many cases, it is difficult to remove undesired chips and flinders. This invention provides a rivet having a stepped flange, and a rivet removal tool having a clip fit between the flange and a surface of the workpiece, and the rivet is substantially axially removed as a single object by relative displacement of the clip. Further this invention relates to the removal tool for the blind rivet and the related method.
