Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable boring work on a nonflat or sloping ground surface, relating to a boring device and method for boring a hole using a casing tube to be introduced into earth prior to boring.
SOLUTION: The boring device 10 has boring tools 18 and 19 coupled to its lower end via a coupling device 12 and is suspended from its upper end by the cable of a crane 4. Thus, even if the boring device is held vertical while the ground is not level, vertical boring can be performed. The boring device has a hydraulic drive 16 for imparting torque to the boring tools and, in order to receive the reaction of the torque, has a connection device 22 for connection to a circular platform 43 secured to a support pipe 46.
