Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the response property by a method wherein a sample-data management means is constituted of a disk which stores data for a long time and of a ring buffer whose speed is higher than that of a disk and which stores latest data temporarily.
CONSTITUTION: The operating method of a skilled operator is formalized on the basis of knowledge engineering, and it is stored in a database for inference. A plant-operation support apparatus is operated on the basis of this knowledge. An inference means 2 obtains time-series data 4 from a sample-data management means 1, it executes the inference, and it gives instructions to the operator. The knowledge is constituted of multivariate data representing the state of a plant and of information on a period during which the state is continued. A management means 1 describes the time-series data 4, which is sent from the plant, in a ring buffer 6 whose speed is faster than that of a disk 7. When the data 4 fills a storage region in the buffer 6, oldest data 4 is erased, and latest data 4 is written there. As a result, the buffer 6 can comply with a request with reference to the latest data 4.
