PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braid having a self-engagement property that is extremely soft and has elastic properties and self-engagement property when used as a fastening cord, and when the braid is used as an assembly toy, there is no need to attach a hook-and-loop fastener to a surface, and an object to which the braid is attached is not limited to a pile fabric, and the braid is possible to be assembled into a three-dimensional shape, and the assembly toy has a soft touch.SOLUTION: The braid is made by knitting hook-and-loop fasteners and both hook-shaped engaging elements and loop-shaped engaging elements exist on a surface of the braid.
