Title:
BRAIDED YARN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008214788
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a braided yarn having a double structure consisting of a core part and a sheath part, capable of reducing the amount of carbon dioxide generation and also supplementing defects such as strength, abrasion resistance, etc., where the fiber consisting of a biomass-derived polymer is inferior as compared with those of the fiber consisting of petroleum-derived polymer.

This braided yarn has the core part 2 and the sheath part 1 arranged around the core part 2. At least a part of the core part 2 is constituted by the fiber consisting of the polymer derived from a biomass. The sheath part 1 is constituted by the fiber consisting of a general-purpose polymer derived from the petroleum base. For the fibers consisting of the polymer derived from the biomass, a polylactic acid fiber may be used. For the fiber consisting of the fiber consisting of the general purpose polymer derived from the petroleum base, a polyethylene terephthalate fiber may be used.
