To provide a brake caliper capable of making the size in the axial direction of a piston compact as much as possible and capable of facilitating the arrangement of a car body component onto the lateral side of the piston.
A brake caliper includes: a caliper body 10 fastened to a car body side; a first piston 12 which is stored in the caliper body 10 and is actuated in accordance with a liquid pressure; a second piston 13 which is stored in the caliper body 10 and is mechanically actuated by a mechanical brake mechanism 25; and a brake pad which nips a brake disk 7 in accordance with the actuation of a first piston 12 or a second piston 13 and applies a brake force to the brake disk 7. Therein, the first piston 12 and the second piston 13 are arranged so as to have respective axial directions in parallel with each other and be separated in the direction vertical to the respective axial directions.
