Abstract:

To provide a brake circuit for a linear motor, capable of reducing power consumption in switching operation and controlling the braking force of the linear motor from the outside.

The brake circuit for a linear motor has: a three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit 20 connected in parallel with a load of the linear motor; current-limiting resistors 3(R11-R14) for limiting the brake current outputted from the rectifier circuit; constant-current circuits 4a, 4b, having first transistors M0, M2 connected to the current-limiting resistors R11, R13 and control signal generating circuits 6a, 6b for outputting control signals to the transistors; switch circuits 5a, 5b having second transistors M11, M14 for adjusting the current flowing through each of the constant circuits in two stages; and a base drive circuit 7 for making the transistors turn on/off.
