Abstract:
To provide a brake device and a method for rolling stocks, which need not piping material and perform braking when the power to the vehicle is cut off.
To perform braking, the power to an electromagnet 11 is cut off to stop the attraction of an armature 14, and then, the armature 14 is moved in the D1 direction by the work of a helical spring 12, etc., to press against a shoe 15, etc., for friction. To stop braking, with the electromagnet 11 conducted, the above operations are made in the reverse order.
