Abstract:

To set a discharge resistance to obtain an optimal braking time according to the operating state of an elevator at the emergency braking of the elevator.

This braking control device for the elevator includes a plurality of discharge resistances 32a, 32b, 32c with different resistance values connectable in parallel with a braking device coil 26a of a braking device 26; a speed detecting means 7 detecting the speed of an elevator car 14; a load detecting means 6 detecting the load of the elevator car 14; an operating time computing means 34 computing the operating time of the braking device 26 from the car speed, car load, a preset elevator parameter and a braking distance; and a discharge resistance selecting means 35 generating a resistance selection signal for selecting one discharge resistance from the plurality of discharge resistances based on the operating time. At the emergency braking, one discharge resistance is selected based on the resistance selection signal and connected in parallel with the braking device coil 26a.
