To provide a branch crusher which enables the inertia brake of the crushing device to act without adding a relief valve of the brake separately, to stop a chipper disk of the crushing device safely.
The branch crusher equipped with a feeding port of materials to be crushed, a crushing device to crush the materials to be crushed, and a feeding device to feed the materials to be crushed into the crushing device is also provided with a crushing hydraulic motor 12 to drive the crushing device, a crushing hydraulic pump 14, and a crushing control valve 18 to control the operation and stoppage of the crushing hydraulic motor12. A relief valve 20, to relieve a pressurized oil from a drive pipe channel 17 to a return pipe channel 19 via a check valve 24, on a crushing hydraulic pump 14 side from the crushing control valve 18, is arranged between the drive pipe channel 17 and the return pipe channel 19 of the crushing hydraulic motor 12. The return pipe channel 19 is connected to the primary side of the relief valve 20 via the check valve 29, on the crushing hydraulic motor 12 side from the crushing control valve 18, while the secondary side of the relief valve 20 is connected to the drive pipe channel 17 via the check valve 26, to constitute a brake pipe channel 27.
