To improve the reliability of a commutator motor by eliminating the sliding failure of a carbon brush due to the cause of a burr produced the inner peripheral side of a brush case when a terminal spring is welded to the outer peripheral side of the case and attempting to stabilize the commutation and prevent the abnormal wear of the brush in a brush holder of the motor used for a domestic motor cleaner.
A recess 6 is provided at the inner peripheral side of a brush case 1 obtained by pressing a conductive metal plate. A brush holder 4 is formed by welding a terminal spring 5 from the outer peripheral side to the recess 6 of the case 1. Since the spring is welded from the outer peripheral side to the recess of the case, even if a burr is generated at the inner peripheral side of the case, it is not projected to the sliding surface of the brush, and the slidability of the brush can be ensured, and hence the commutation failure or abnormal wear of the brush can be prevented.
